Well, here I am, writing my second blog post! I told you in this one I would tell you all about myself. No, it is very easy for me to ramble on for ages when I talk about myself, so I am going to try to keep this as short as I can.
Let's see... I am a 22 year old girl who lives in Virginia. I have been obsessed with animals my whole life, especially with horses. I have always lived with animals and I can not imagine living without any. I grew up having dogs and cats (as well as a small assortment of small furry and scaly things throughout the years). I also got to be around horses a lot when I was young, because my grandmother rode and had horses. I took riding lessons all the time and loved it. Now I'm the proud owner of a horse, who I got when I was (soon-to-be) 13. He is a Belgian Morgan crossbreed, and is 13 years old now. I love him more than I love most people.
I also have an old Golden Retreiver (who looks more like some kind of mix of a grizzly bear, walrus, and dog). He is a big baby, I love him so much. He lives back with my mom. The animals I have with me are my 2 tabby cats named Jawa and Mouse (yes, Jawa as in the creatures from Star Wars), and 2 aquatic Red-Eared Slider turtles named Bowser and Squirt.
I'm a student, taking classes at Northern VA Community College. I am in my 4th year of classes there... yes, it is taking me quite some time to get through school... I kind of screwed up. I will go into my school problems in another post, but I will tell you that I think I am on my way to getting things taken care of. My goal is to be in George Mason University by 2015. I still have to decide what exact degree I will be going for there, but it will be theatre related (soft and hard tech design, directing, producing, acting, musical performance...). Then I will go to graduate school (probably an online school) to get my Masters in education. My career of choice (if you haven't guessed already) is to be a high school theatre teacher.
I have been involved in theatre since I was in the 7th grade. I reluctantly auditioned for a musical called "The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree" and landed one of the lead roles. I fell in love. I have not stopped doing theatre since then. I did 2 more shows in middle school, then 5 in high school. My senior show in high school was the last show I have acted in. I did some acting in my acting classes my first year at NOVA, and I took a role in a ten-minute play for the directing class, but that was it. Since then I have been doing tech pretty much nonstop. I started by learning how to work with theatre lights and running light board for shows, and that lead to also doing some work back stage, and now I do stage management sometimes, which is crazy, but I love it.
I work with a few different community theatre groups in the area, and (though it can very very hard, stressful work) it is amazing fun.
:)
Some other things I love are...
Cooking
Baking
Movie musicals
Singing
Photography
Geek culture
The internet
Swimming
and
Being around people I love ^_^
So, there's my little mini-bio :)
In my next post I will start getting into these problems I have... I think I will start with the school issue.
Hopefully some of you out there will relate to it.
We'll see!!

Chapter One: The Mission Begins
Well, hey there internet world.
I'm Lady Catapult, and this is my very first blog. Why am I called Lady Catapult? It's a nickname I was given in eighth grade when I was in a play called "An Evening of Culture", which was about a group of small town hicks putting on Romeo and Juliet. I played a character who played Lady Capulet, but there was a running joke throughout the play that no one could pronounce it right, (Catapult, Cadillac, Cappuccino...etc) thus the nickname was born.
Now that that's out of the way, it's time for the bigger question... why does this blog exist?
Well, there are a few reasons.
1. I'm bored right now and avoiding some chores.
2. I like to talk about myself.
3. I really like GIFs
4. I want to make my life better. I have been trying for years to get my act together, but it never fully happens. There have been some times when I've felt pretty on top of things, but most of the time, I have felt like a mess. I'm overweight, i'm disorganized, i'm lazy, i'm forgetful, I can't stick to a routine, I lie too much, I make way too many excuses, I avoid confrontation, I avoid adult responsibilities, I have emotional problems, and I just generally feel out of control most of the time.
I (as I have said about a million times before) am ready to start fully turning my life around. Who knows, writing about this may help me, or I may not write another blog for the rest of my life after this, but hey, I can still try though!
I will (hopefully) use this blog to keep track of my journey to a better life. I will brag about my progress, rant about my failures, talk about why I think I have the problems I have, and what I am doing to fix it. Hopefully some of you can relate to all this, and if I do well, then you guys can be inspired as well!
...that is, if anybody actually reads this... anybody? ...hello? ...maybe?
Well even if I don't get any readers, I still think writing on here will really help me keep myself in check. I can just pretend I have lots of readers that understand me, you can be my imaginary friends, and we will have so much fun together :)
So what do you say imaginary friends? Let's watch as I embark on this new little journey in my life and see if I wind up so successful that I do a super happy dance like my friend John Green here...
...or if I continue to look like this most days...
So, there's my little intro to this blog!
In the next one I will tell you more about myself and what I am really like.
Then I will start really getting into details of these problems i've been having.
So.... LET THE MISSION BEGIN!!
